Thirty minutes is enough for one focused session if the plan is simple: a short warm-up, two rounds of the game and a few minutes to talk at the end.
Why the first five minutes matter
Start with names and one easy question everyone can answer, such as a favourite food. Children who speak once early on find it easier to speak again later.
Keep the questions open and let every child pass if they want to.
A simple plan
- Warm-up: five minutes
- Two rounds of the game: twenty minutes
- Talk together: five minutes
At the end, ask what the group noticed about each other. Write one idea on the board for next time.
