Waiting is hard for young children. Games with short turns let them practise waiting in a way that still feels like play.
Keep turns short
Choose games where each turn takes a few seconds, and praise the waiting as much as the winning.
Stop while it is still fun. A short, happy game is worth more than a long one that ends in tears.
